Bethany became interested in home birth at a young age, as her five younger siblings were born at home.

She completed the Association of Texas Midwives Midwifery Training Program, including a three-year midwifery internship. In August 2008, she sat for the NARM written examination, one of the final requirements in the process to become a Certified Professional Midwife.

Since concluding her training, Bethany has practiced in rural Kansas, as well as spending three months working at a mission hospital in the bush of Zambia.

In order to be of greater assistance to the families she serves, Bethany has recently completed training as a Certified Breastfeeding Educator.

We believe that pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding are natural, God-given functions of the woman’s body. Birth itself is not a medical condition, but the normal process through which new life enters the world. For the low-risk woman, giving birth in her home environment, with skilled attendants, can be an optimal choice.

We offer a free consultation and would love to talk with you about your options for pregnancy and birth.
